Question
I'm selling a home and my buyer signed the papers to buy my house. His bank postponed it so my buyer asked to delay it. He had given my realtor a deposit of 500. His bank just said they will not lend him the money. Do I get to keep the 500?

Hi Al,

You would need to check your local laws or with your real estate agent.  If your buyer met his specific time frame of letting you know (would be outlined in the buy/sell contract)  he can not get a loan, then he is legally entitled to his money back.
