Question
Hi there,
i currently live in Cleveland, OH and i found many homes that are for sale at a very cheap price. I'm interested in buying home and investing my money in them. I'm on F1 student visa and I'm wondering what the necessary legal requirements are for me to buy a house, rent it out and maybe sell it in the future when the market goes up. your help will be very much appreciated. thanks.

Answer
I would be glad to help you, Abdulelah, but you need to talk to your consulate to see if you are permitted to buy and own property in the U.S. I think you may be able to. And if you are, I do not know if a bank would allow you to finance your purchase. It depends upon your financial status. If you pay all cash for any purchase, you would be able to buy a home. But first talk to your country's consulate to make sure your status is approved. I do wish you well.
