Buying or Selling a Home/Assistant Living Property

Question
What do I have to do to convert a residential property to an assistant living home.  I heard about investors making residential properties handicap accessible and converting them into assistant living homes.  Do you know the process to convert them?

Answer
No, Rashad, I am not familiar with ASSISTED living homes. However, I suggest you ask someone in your county's planning or zoning department and ask them that question. I do know who ever is going to run the assisted living home will need to be licensed for that kind of business. It's not too difficult to find out. The more questions you ask the more you will become educated in the process.

I do wish you well.

With more than 41 years as a real estate broker, I can solve most any problem presented. If I can`t, I do my research. Problems with mortgages, trust deeds, foreclosures, odd ways of conveying titles. Most any good Realtor can answer questions satisfactorily, but I answer questions that most cannot. Also, ask about my hard-copy newsletter, The Landed Gentry. It can also be sent to you via PDF.
