Question
As a resident in North Carolina, I currentlyn buying my mobile home.  However, I now want to relocate to the triangle area and considering buying a house.  I overhead that it was illegal in N.C to buy a house, unless you sell the previous home you are currently buying.  I for one can't afford to pay for two homes.  I do want to sell my mobile home before tryihg to buy a house.  What can I do?  Is there anyone in North Carolina you can refer me to, to assist me in this situation?

Answer
Hi Willie...I doubt that there would be any laws regarding this subject.  Perhaps from a lender's stand point, it would put your budget out of whack, until you sold one or the other home.
Go to your state's website, find the HCD link,(housing and community developmant), or look at the title(reg) to see what department titles in your state.....there will be an "Ombudsman"...spell?  This is a department for people who have questions about mobiles....don't know anyone over your way, sorry.
