Question I have signed a contract to sell my home with a realtor on 04-19-2008 at my residence. I decided on 04-21-2008 that I do not want to sell. Do I have a time frame which to cancel?
Answer It is strongly recommended that you counsel with a REAL ESTATE attorney to protect your interests, Patricia, since you may be the defendant in a court case if the buyer really wants to buy your house. Plus, since you have signed a document that probably obligates you to pay a commission to a real estate agent, you will have that obligation to concerned about even if the buyer decides to let you off the hook. These things, the attorney will advise you. I don't know what else may occur per your state's laws. I do wish you well.
