Buying or Selling a Home/Sell Back New Construction

Question
I recently moved into a new construction home where the specs where picked out by someone previous. I have made a decision to move else where. Is there a way to sell back to the construction company for even money? I have been living in it for under 6 months.

Answer
Hi Vicky-

You say that you "moved in" but you don't mention purchase.  I'll assume that you did purchase the property.
So, You bought the house.  If you bought it, you can sell it to the builder or anyone else, for any price they are willing to pay.  But why would the builder want it back?  I think that unlikely.  You will likely have to get a Realtor and sell your home on the open market.  I'm afraid buying a house is not like buying a toaster - you can't go back to the store and return it.

Sincerely,
