Buying or Selling a Home/RE classes online

Question
I wasn't sure where to ask this question so forgive me if it's posted in the wrong area.  I am trying to find some place where I can take real estate classes online.  I live just outside of Houston, Texas.  I want to take the classes, buy the materials, etc. so I can get my license to be a real estate agent here in Texas.  Do you have any ideas where I would start?

Hello Landon - The real estate licensee exam consists of two portions: the State portion; and the federal portion. Obviously, the state controls the education necessary to comply with state regulation and the aptitude necessary to possess a license. There are many online courses although I am not yet aware of any that offer pre-licensing. Usually the courses are for post-licensing renewal hours. The state usually licenses the real estate schools that possess the certificate to teach pre- and post-licensing courses. My recommendation would be to check with the state of Texas Department of Real Estate and inquire from them. - Good Luck
