Buying or Selling a Home/Question about the rent after I sold the mobile home

Question
Hello Michael, I sold the mobile home and transferred the title in June, and the buyer moved in on July 1st. This mobile home is in a trailer park. On July 1st, we got the rent bill which includes the space rent fee for July, and the utilities for June. The landholder doesn't accept the money from the new owner, and the landholder asks me to pay the bill. Do I still need to pay the space rent fee since I'm not the owner of the mobile home any more. Also, the landholder hasn't returned the deposit to me yet. What should I do?

Answer
Crystal....this site didn't notify me of your follow up question....just answering another question, and saw yours.

I'm afraid that unless the park has in fact approved your buyer, you don't have a deal, and your on the hook for the rent!

Talk to the land owner and find out what is needed to remove you from this situation.  I have a feeling that your buyer was NOT approved, and they are relying on you to be responsible.

Your not getting your deposit back for the same reason....."~ M
