Subject: online degree

Question
hello Paul, I'm going to be a senior at my high school this year and I'm considering a career in real estate. but because of my situation, an online degree would be most convenient for me.Do you think it would be harder for me to get a job, opposed to if i attend a four year university? And would you hire someone with an online degree?

Answer
Craig,

I do not know where you live but in most places a real estate license is a real estate license and it does not matter how you get it.  In most places real estate agents are independent contractors who make money based upon their ability to sell property.  Therefore, you need to be a people person who can deal professionally with clients.  Clients deal with agents usually because they like the agent as opposed to asking whether the person attended a 4 year college.

I wish you the best of luck.
