Question
If I go under chapter 13 and I have very good income and I make 12 consecutive payments under the bankrupt it is possible to get an FHA loan for a house?

Thank you

Answer
Hi Hector,

I’m sorry, but I do not have any expertise in what is required for obtaining an FHA loan after filing bankruptcy.  This question should be directed to a lender who will be familiar with guidelines required by an underwriter.

I would suggest calling a reputable lender who handles FHA loans and present your questions to the lender who should be able to help you.

Good luck to you, and feel free to write again if you have another real estate question I might can answer.

Regards,
Elizabeth
