Question
QUESTION: Can I sell my own lot on ebay legally by myself. What is involved in selling a lot? I can't afford to keep it and keep paying dues.

ANSWER: As long as you have fee title, Steve, you may do as you please with it. You can sell it on eBay, Craigslist or whatever suits you. If there is anyone else on title with you, be sure to get that person(s)'s signature on all documents that you sign in the process of selling. I do wish you well.

QUESTION: In selling the  property do you just have to have the title turned over to the new owner through the county court records clerk, pay a fee, etc.?

Answer
Not exactly, Steve. Obviously you're doing this without a Realtor. If that be the case, then you take the buyer to an escrow office or title company and tell them what you are doing and they will take it from there by asking you the necessary questions. You will pay their fees and the title transfer will be made. Be well.

Expertise

With more than 41 years as a real estate broker, I can solve most any problem presented. If I can`t, I do my research. Problems with mortgages, trust deeds, foreclosures, odd ways of conveying titles. Most any good Realtor can answer questions satisfactorily, but I answer questions that most cannot. Also, ask about my hard-copy newsletter, The Landed Gentry. It can also be sent to you via PDF.
