Buying or Selling a Home/New homeowner house Title

Question
I bought my new house owner to owner, but I have not received any documents regarding the house title. What can I do?

Dear Dora;
How did you close on this house?  Did you use a title company or an attorney?  Did you get a loan?  If so the mortgage company can supply the documents. In order to record the transaction the attorney or title company would have had to supply documents and should also have copies.  I cannot understand why you wouldn't have seen those unless (gasp) you didn't use any professional help.  If the home didn't record, or if there was no document trail, then I am sorry to say you haven't got any way of proving that the home is yours. I certainly hope that is not the case.  Call the closing attorney, title company or lender.
