Buying or Selling a Home - looking for finaceing to buy a home

Expert: Dick Dennis - 11/8/2009

Question
we live in utah southern ut and we are looking to move north and we are looking for 100% finacing to buy a home can and would u point us in the right way

Answer
How far north do you want to go, Sean? Do you want Santa Claus as your neighbor or will Idaho, Montana or Washington be far enough? Maybe even Salt Lake or Provo might do you fine. I would have to do what you can do with your computer to find the best places and also those with 100% financing. With this economy, it will be very difficult to get anything close to 100% financing. You would have to have excellent credit. Let me tell you what I did about 35 years ago when I wanted to move from Los Angeles to northern California. I got into my car and drove to a bunch of towns and cities to get familiar with the area. I looked in newspapers (no Internet in those days) and talked to Realtors to find out what was going on. FHA offers you a way to buy a house for only 3.5% down and then you can use the first-time homebuyer credit. I would say your best chance to find something with 100% financing is to look for someone who is trying to sell with a lease/option. Stop into your nearest library (or even your computer) to find the best sources how to do and find lease/options. I do wish you well.
