Buying or Selling a Home/Property Ownership

Question
I am wondering if there is a free way to find out who owns a piece of property and also if I can look up a person by name and find out what properties they may own.

Answer
There are at least a couple of ways, Emmett. First, you can call up a Title Company in your area, or drop by their office, and ask them the question. They should not have to charge you for this. They merely look up on their computer screen for the answer.

The second way is to go to the county recorder and ask how you can look around in their records. They would be glad to help, I am sure. You might even be able to look it up online. Call them up and ask them what online address you should use. I do wish you well.

Expertise

With more than 41 years as a real estate broker, I can solve most any problem presented. If I can`t, I do my research. Problems with mortgages, trust deeds, foreclosures, odd ways of conveying titles. Most any good Realtor can answer questions satisfactorily, but I answer questions that most cannot. Also, ask about my hard-copy newsletter, The Landed Gentry. It can also be sent to you via PDF.
