Buying or Selling a Home/no title on mobile home

Question
The people we bought our mobile home off of did not have the title to it. They had a conversion done on it. How can we get the title back on it.

Dear Henry;
If the people didn't have the title on the mobile home find out who does have title and request that they transfer title to you.  You may need to consult an attorney or title company for this information.

Once you find out who does have title (if they are still around then it might be a matter of showing proof of purchase to trace who actually owns the home now.  If they are deceased then there will be some legal matters and paperwork required which will be explained to you via the attorney or title company.
