Buying or Selling a Home/getting my deposit back

Hello. We put a deposit on a house but did the broker who was the owner of the house, could not get us approve, can I get my 1000. deposit back?

Hello Nitza - You must check the wording in your contract. In Arizona there is a finance contingency built into the contract which in the event a buyer is unable to qualify for the loan they would be entitled to a return of your earnest money (unless there was other language added to the contrary). Check your contract for terms. Since you are not an attorney, I recommend having an attorney who specializes in real estate take a look at your contract. If you were represented by your own agent contact your agents designated broker at their office. This person is responsible for your agents performance. Also, the Designated broker also understands the contract and terms as well as processes.
