Buying or Selling a Home/old house no c/o

Question
house built 1926 I bought it 1973 got no c/o. Am selling now and need to know if buyer will require c/o for mortgage.
I live in Bayshore NY  town of islip. Getting all kinds of different answers. Need help just went to contract. Thanks ken

C/os were not common until the 60s and 70s.  It is likely you bought your house without a CO.  You may have gottne a predate letter at the time.  If not, the building department may issue one now.  

A predate letter issued by the building department for older houses basically states the structure predates current local zoning codes and was built to code at the time.  This should suffice.  Many times they are issued without entering the house.  The simplicity of predate letters is changing though.
