Question
I am currently in an entry level position and am interested in changing a line of business within my company. My goal for now is to be an underwriter. I don't have full knowledge or experience in real estate or loan processing, However my current job does pertain to the financial industry.

My question is, are there any resources you would recommend to learn the tech jargon, or information that I should read up on so that I may be better prepared when I go in for an interview?

Answer
You should ask Jack Guttentag, the Mortgage Professor. He knows all there is to know about that end of the business. I just hope he is not too busy to reply. Just put his name in Google and it'll come up. You'll be glad he answered. I do wish you well.

Expertise

With more than 41 years as a real estate broker, I can solve most any problem presented. If I can`t, I do my research. Problems with mortgages, trust deeds, foreclosures, odd ways of conveying titles. Most any good Realtor can answer questions satisfactorily, but I answer questions that most cannot. Also, ask about my hard-copy newsletter, The Landed Gentry. It can also be sent to you via PDF.
