Question
yes 2 months ago a guy who lives in my neighborhood came up to  me an said he was selling a double wide that was out of the state... he had his own big truck to move them and everything i saw it... he said he wanted 15K for it and it would cover everything including the move... he showed me pictured and it looked really nice.. im 22 and looking into moving out of my parents so i went for it, i paid him with a check 15K, and he said it would bring it in a week, 1 week turned into 2 then 3 then 4, every week i would ask him what was going on and he would just make exuses, so i told him after 1 1/2 months that i wanted my money back 2 weeks later he is still making exuses like the paper work is still in prossesing for your refund and stuff... he lives down the road from me and usally avoids my calls, but idk what else to do when i do see him in person all he does is make exuses its not like i can beat the money outa him, i did threaten legal acton and filed a police report, but what should be my next step and do you think i could win a court case against him... i have all the paperwork of the purchase and all the bank recipts and paper work. thanks.

Answer
Dear Samuel;
While this is not a real estate question (real estate being property that is attached to the land) I wanted to give a quick answer that yes...you were scammed!  Your neighbor needs to have some legal persuasion. Make sure that you have copies of all of the paperwork and get someone to help you take this guy to court!

Good luck and best wishes,

Experience

Anyone who is in this business and who dedicates oneself to professionalism has continued to take classes and along with it,additional credentials, awards and honors. I can list a host of them, but my greatest accomplishments happen to be those of getting first time buyers (who didn't think they could afford to buy a home)into a home of their dreams. The look on their faces when I hand over the keys is worth all of the hard work.
