Hello,

My wife and I were recently denied for a home loan. We are a bit disappointed because we really wanted to take advantage of the $8000 tax credit.
Would you happen to know ifwhether the credit might be given an extension to next year?

Hector (UPDATE) - This is a revised answer to your question! The President did Thursday sign a bill that included the extension of the Tax Credit! There are some new details surrounding the qualification and terms as this extension is not limited to First-Time homebuyers. Hello Hector - At this point there have been proposals to extend the tax credit but to this point in time nothing has been extended. You can keep up on the news regarding the tax credit by visiting www.realtor.com or using Google News and inputing 'First-time Homebuyer Tax Credit' and it will provide you with all the news in cyberspace concerning this topic... or whatever topic you enter.
