Buying or Selling a Home/neighbors

Question
Hi,

When buying a house are there any strategies to determine the sellers' true motivation for selling? In a related sense, good neighbors are obviously very important. Are there any strategies to determine what type of neighbors you may be getting and how can you determine if the seller wants to move because of "bad" neighbors? We will be purchasing a single family detatched house.

Thanks

Answer
Hi Paul-
Sorry to be so long in responding, I have been in the hospital for over a week. My answer is to go introduce yourselves to your potential neighbors as just that and you may be amazed at what may come come out (good or bad) with very little prompting on your part. Just my thoughts (I've done it before). Best of luck, Toni
