Question
What document(s) are needed to transfer title of a home and register it with the appropriate entity from one person to another in Dallas County, Texas.

LANCE--

Go to the Dallas County Courthouse and visit the Records Section. The Clerk there should have all of the forms you need, and should be able to help you through the process of transfering title and recording it.

OR

Hire an Attorney or Para-Legal who specializes in Real Estate Law to handle this for you.

OR

Make an appointment with a "Title Officer" or "Limited Practice  Officer" at the Title Insurance Company that issued your Title Policy OR the Escrow Company that handled your Closing.They will have all the forms needed and can help you with the transfer of ownership.

I'd try the "Title" or "Limited Practice Officer first;the Lawyer or Para-Legal next; and as a last resort I'd see what the County "Bureaucrats" could do for me.
