Buying or Selling a Home/trying to buy a mobile home

Question
Hello Michael,
I'm trying to find out how I and my father might go about buying a mobile home in a park in Hayward Ca. My credit isn't the greatest due to a bankruptcy in 08 but I have the employment history of 10 1/2 yrs at my job and about 17000 to 20000 to put down. My father is retired but has a credit score of 680. The mobile is between 90,000. and 119,000. Is this a possibility for us or do I stick to just renting?

Thanks and Happy Holidays!!

Answer
Lesea...thought I had answered you, but the system says no.  Anyway, with the recent BK, you won't qualify! You will need at least two years of GOOD credit to start your process.
Unless your father has the budget to qualify, you will not make it...sorry for the bad news, but on mobile homes, lenders are very few and far between...."~ Mike
