Question
When my mom refinanced her condo the Unit Number was wrong, now that she has done paying for it we did find out the mistake and we need to correct it, from NN7 to NN1 which is the correct unit number, we live in Texas so who should we contact or what form to use?

Answer
Hello Henry,
Thank you for your question.
I am guessing the post office has the correct address?

To start go to the town tax assessor's office to see what they have on record. Then the building department, probably in the sanme building.

Your mom probably has title insurance.  You should contact that company and tell them the mistake and ask them to correct it.

There are many questions buyers and sellers have about the process of buying or selling a home that they are afraid to ask or that might seem too simple to ask. For instance: in a house, why do some doors open in and some doors open out?
