Question
I am interested in buying a home in florida. Is their a web site I can look up all florida counties property tax rates per $1000 of value on one site. Im trying to compare what cities have lower rates. Now I looking up each county one at a time and it takes too long. thanks,AL.

Yes HAL--

"It takes too long" Since reading your question I've searched the Web for a "single-source" for you, but to no avail.As you must know, property taxes are levied by "jurisdictions," some cities, some counties, each with an Assessor's Office that handles this task.

I'm afraid that unless you're willing to go on-line and search for FLORIDA PROPERTY TAX RATES and then PAY one of the many companies that you'll find, you'll have to find out just what government entitity (City, County,etc)is responsible for certain areas and go from there. Sorry!

Or--for a possible "freebie," go to the State of Florida's Home Page and see if you can get any answers there--or links to each Assessors Office Websites!
