Question
Are there any legal and/or tax consequences to any of the siblings if one sibling buys the deceased parents house from the trust and the proceeds from the sale are distributed to all the siblings in equal amounts in accordance with the trust?

Answer
This is a question for the attorney who created the trust, Patrick. Or you may consult with any good estate attorney. Legal questions are for attorneys too answer. Real estate brokers can answer real estate questions. I do wish you well.

Expertise

With more than 41 years as a real estate broker, I can solve most any problem presented. If I can`t, I do my research. Problems with mortgages, trust deeds, foreclosures, odd ways of conveying titles. Most any good Realtor can answer questions satisfactorily, but I answer questions that most cannot. Also, ask about my hard-copy newsletter, The Landed Gentry. It can also be sent to you via PDF.
