Mobile Home is in California, park is so-so, owners (Beck Development), bought out the previous owner & tried to build million $$ homes next to the park and went into foreclosure. (Oakwood Shores) space rent is $372 month ~ which is good for the area. double wide mobile home, over 1500 sq feet. I did stop paying the space rent when the eviction was started, I owe 4 months back. Wishing the owners would take the mobile as payment, but havent asked yet. Thanks!!!

Answer
Hello Sandi...wish you would have contacted me sooner, but lets try this approach. First a question: has the park taken a "warehouseman's lien?  If so, it's over.
If you are not on the title...walk away!  You have no obligation for the rent.

However, the space may be worth some $$....I would contact a couple of new home dealers in the area...see how much they are willing to pay to pull the old one out, so they can put in a new one....we do this all the time. The clock is ticking on this though.....see what happens...if no takers, the park will put a new home there for sure...anyway, just forget about it...give the mgr.the keys, take what you want, and off you go.

Let me know how things turn out..."~ Mike
