Buying or Selling a Home/General Inquiry

Question
Hi,

My names Nickey... My husband and I currently live with his parents and I'm pregnant... I don't know if you ever lived with your in-laws while pregnant, but it sucks... I'm currently working with the Guaranteed Rural Housing Loan Program to buy a house in Lowellville Ohio, which is in the town my husband works and currently a town that's almost 45 minutes away from where we are now...

I've been searching the internet all day for Utility Companies that serve the Lowellville area and, so far, I think I found the water company, gas company and electric company... But, I'm not sure what to look for so I emailed all the places I found asking them what they did and how much the Average Monthly Billing Rate was for their service...

anyways, I guess what I'm wondering is, I have NO idea what I'm doing and I'm doing it alone... No one will help me because my in-laws don't think we should EVER move out since all their kids still live in this 4 bedroom house...

Can you help?

Answer
Hi Nickey;
I suggest that you contact a real estate company in Lowellville and ask to speak with the managing broker. Ask the broker whom he or she would suggest work with you as a Buyer's Agent. Then talk to that person and ask lots of questions about the homes in the area, prices, availability, utilities, etc. Real estate agents are an outstanding source of area knowledge.  However, if you are uncomfortable working with a real estate agent for some reason; you can also talk to the local Chamber of Commerce for information as well as a Newcomer's guide.

I hope that this helps.

Best wishes,

Experience

Anyone who is in this business and who dedicates oneself to professionalism has continued to take classes and along with it,additional credentials, awards and honors. I can list a host of them, but my greatest accomplishments happen to be those of getting first time buyers (who didn't think they could afford to buy a home)into a home of their dreams. The look on their faces when I hand over the keys is worth all of the hard work.
