Question
Dear Dennis,
Is it possible you could advise me, on how to sell a home, without losing the investment in the home? I'd like to discuss the matter with you, if at all possible, if you have some time. Here is my number: .

Answer
If you have a problem with your mortgage being larger than the value of your home, there is nothing much that can be done other than waiting a few years until the values of real estate rise once again, Gerald. If the value of your home has fallen enough to erase what you paid as down payment, I would recommend talking with a good local real estate broker to see what can be done to help you, since I am not familiar with the values of real estate in RI. This is the best I can do since you did not actually give me your number. I do wish you well.

Expertise

With more than 41 years as a real estate broker, I can solve most any problem presented. If I can`t, I do my research. Problems with mortgages, trust deeds, foreclosures, odd ways of conveying titles. Most any good Realtor can answer questions satisfactorily, but I answer questions that most cannot. Also, ask about my hard-copy newsletter, The Landed Gentry. It can also be sent to you via PDF.
