What are the major difference between a townhouse and condo

Answer
Townhouse is an architectural style and condominiums are a form of ownership.

Townhouses are owned various ways:  single family dwellings; condominium; planned unit developments.

Condominiums and their owners own their air space and a percentage of ownership in common areas:  greenbelts; community pools and tennis
courts; recreation rooms. The aforementioned amenities paid by association dues mandated in the conditions, covenants, and restrictions (CC&Rs). They usually do not own the land on which their home sits.

Condominium ownership includes a dwelling that can be an architectural style that includes: single family dwelling; townhouse; apartment style (one story) building; patio homes; planned unit development.
