Buying or Selling a Home/Buying homes

Question
Hi,

I'm thinking of buying foreclosed homes and repair them to sell.  And I'm wondering if you think foreclosed homes would be the best way to go? And if so is there a city or state site that I can go to find this information for free?  Everyone is trying to sell the information.

And also I would like to know why do some doors open in and others open outwardly?  Thanks.

Answer
Hi Sammie,

Thank you for your question.

Information on properties in foreclosure proceedings are available from your local and county municipalities.  Information is also available in your local newspapers listing tax lien auctions.  Local business journals often listing people, businesses and properties in foreclosure proceedings.  Finding the right properties for you to buy can probably be as tedious as rebuilding it.  You may be best served finding a good local buyer broker to help you find a good property to buy and renovate for resale.  They know the market and can help you make the right choices.

Closet doors open out and most other doors open inwards.

I am able to answer questions related to buying or selling residential real estate in New York. There are many questions buyers and sellers have about the process of buying or selling a home that they are afraid to ask or that might seem too simple to ask. For instance: in a house, why do some doors open in and some doors open out?
