My questions is.. By law is the seller of a residential home allowed to see the comittment letter that the buyer obtains from the bank they will be using to finance the purchase of the sellers home
-----Answer-----
Dear Phillip,

Thank you for your question.

The bank mortgage commitment letter is sent by the buyer's attorney to the seller's attorney at which point a closing can be set up.

Answer
Hi Phillip,

The seller's attorney is sent the commitment letter by the buyer's attorney to confirm the final commitment of the loan by the bank.  By virtue of the attorney viewing it the seller would have access to it.

The answer is yes.

There are many questions buyers and sellers have about the process of buying or selling a home that they are afraid to ask or that might seem too simple to ask. For instance: in a house, why do some doors open in and some doors open out?
