Buying or Selling a Home/Deed ?

Question
I was wondering how I would go about adding someone to the deed on my home...I'm in New York state
thank you Donna

Answer
You may do so with a quit-claim deed or a warranty deed or whatever conveying deed they use in New York. Just be aware that the person on title with you must sign all papers regarding the property. If that person is not around or has an antagonistic attitude toward you, you may have problems. If that person has better credit than you, you may want to use that person to help you get a refinance.

I do wish you well.

Expertise

With more than 41 years as a real estate broker, I can solve most any problem presented. If I can`t, I do my research. Problems with mortgages, trust deeds, foreclosures, odd ways of conveying titles. Most any good Realtor can answer questions satisfactorily, but I answer questions that most cannot. Also, ask about my hard-copy newsletter, The Landed Gentry. It can also be sent to you via PDF.
