Buying or Selling a Home/Houston Price Disclosures

Question
Hi Dottie,
I'll be moving to Houston in January and am currently looking at places online.  I was under the impression that the selling price of all real estate transactions (homes, apartments, etc) must be dislosed publicly.  I requested the selling prices from the agent marketing a new apartment building in Houston, but I was told that such information is private.  Does this sound right to you?

Thanks,
      Neil

Answer
Well Neil:

That is why you need a buyers agent. The selling price of a property doesn't have to be public knowledge. But if you have a REALTOR who represents you, then they will do all they can to provide that info. Would you like me to find you a Buyer's agent in Houston?
