Question
We live in Ireland and we know there are many Irish people returning from America. We wish to advertise our home on the Internet, so that those people can see it, but don t know how to go about it.       Would be grateful for some advice about it.                       Myfanwy.

Answer
Hello;
The best Internet site that I am aware of is forsalebyowner.com  There are also some others that might work: http://www.homesonsale.co.uk/  (you can advertise your home this month for free)
http://www3.myhome.ie/houses-for-sale-in-ireland.asp

and for a small fee you can advertise on http://www.propertyfile.net/housedetail.htm
or    http://www.daft.ie/

I am sure that there are other websites as well. By doing a google search for homes for sale in Ireland, you will come up with several sites.  Click on them, find the option of "Advertise" and follow the instructions.  Taking some good digital photos and storing them in a file that you can upload to the Internet is important.  Make sure that your contact information and descriptions of the home are good enough to make people want to know more.  Test it out on friends.  Have them read your descriptions and critique them.  If they aren't clear to your friends they will be harder for strangers.

Good luck and best wishes.

Experience

Anyone who is in this business and who dedicates oneself to professionalism has continued to take classes and along with it,additional credentials, awards and honors. I can list a host of them, but my greatest accomplishments happen to be those of getting first time buyers (who didn't think they could afford to buy a home)into a home of their dreams. The look on their faces when I hand over the keys is worth all of the hard work.
