Question
I've am divorced. My x-wife is on the title and she recently go an open end loan on the equity because she want's to fix up the house and sell it. I've been making the payments. How long do I have before she can make me sell

Answer
HI John,

Thank you for your question.

I think the answers you are looking for should be in your divorce agreement.  You must have some dates or periods of time outlined that state what you have to pay and when and if you have to sell anything.

If not then you probably need to talk to your lawyers about what you may have agreed to or not.

There are many questions buyers and sellers have about the process of buying or selling a home that they are afraid to ask or that might seem too simple to ask. For instance: in a house, why do some doors open in and some doors open out?
