Question
Hi, I am interested in buying and rehabbing a few hud
homes in the Buffalo, NY area.  I was wondering how I can
get a good read on the area when it comes to home sales
or rentals.  What are some good indicaters to look for?  I
actuallly live in Westchester County myself.  I am a bit put
off by home prices here when it comes to investing.  I am
sure you would know better that I would about investment
oppertunities in this area.   thank you in advance for your
help.-Miguel

Answer
Hi Miguel,

Thank you for your questions.

Certainly the Westchester area market is expensive to invest in, but the returns are proportionate.

Buffalo could be a good market to look into, but more so might be Albany.   New York's capitol is growing and looking better every year.  Prices are reasonable and demand is good, especially around the universities.

To determine prices and values in any market seek out a buyer's broker to assist you in purchasing.

Good luck.

I am able to answer questions related to buying or selling residential real estate in New York. There are many questions buyers and sellers have about the process of buying or selling a home that they are afraid to ask or that might seem too simple to ask. For instance: in a house, why do some doors open in and some doors open out?
