Buying or Selling a Home/Moving mobile home to land

Question
We live in northern Indiana and bought a mobile home over 3 years ago and are wanting to move it to our own land. What do I do to find land for sale, zoned for mobile homes, and what is the process for moving one and getting it on a foundation?
Thank you for any help you can provide.
Barbara

Answer
Hi Barb,

Well. if the move is far away, it may not be cost effective to move it!  Selling it where it is, and buying where you want to move may make more sense.  Moving a home is not cheap.  You must consider the set up costs, utilities brought in, permits.
If the park you are in is nice, space rent reasonable,I suggest that you sell as is.
Either way, you need to check with the Clerk of the Court in the city or county you are considering living
Here in Calif., it costs about $7-$10k for the whole process....so there you go...hope I helped, and Good Luck   "~ M
