Question
I am first time seller. my home is 1 year old. I need to know all the details for selling a home. I live in Iowa. I want to sell by my own.
And what should i do if I have to sell my home in a short period like 1 month.
Thankyou

Answer
Dear Sania;
Since you are selling on your own,I suggest that you do as much reading and understanding of the local market as you can before you put your home on the market.  Personally, I would never suggest being a first time homeseller and going alone on this.  It is perhaps your most valuable possession and to me it is like performing heart surgery on yourself!  A qualified professional is ethically bound to protect your best insterests and will advise you every step of the way.  Since we take hours and hours of classes every year, do constant updating, live and breathe real estate every day, we are ultimately more informed and qualified than the layman.  However, if you think that you can do this on your own, then first of all consider beating your competition.  What can you do?  Keep the price lower than the other homes and make yours the best buy in the area both by price and appearance.  There are plenty of services out there that will help you stage your home and also market your home for a set fee.  You can also log onto www.fsbo.com and use their service.

Good luck.

Experience

Anyone who is in this business and who dedicates oneself to professionalism has continued to take classes and along with it,additional credentials, awards and honors. I can list a host of them, but my greatest accomplishments happen to be those of getting first time buyers (who didn't think they could afford to buy a home)into a home of their dreams. The look on their faces when I hand over the keys is worth all of the hard work.
