Question
My three sisters and my self have become the owners of the home my deceased parents lived in, as well as did I for the last 25 years. I have made my sisteres an offer to buy them out of their share and they have agreed to my price.  I am currently paying the remaining mortgage myself and was wondering, if I buy this home from them, will I be required to pay closing costs, deed tranference cost, surveys, and on and on, just as an outside purchaser would have to do were they to buy the home?  What kind of attorney would handled this situation?  I live in Jacksonville,Florida. Thank you for your time reading my note, and thank you for your service.

Answer
In Florida, you use a real estate attorney to handle the closing of a transaction, usually, Thomas. However, to whatever the parties to the transaction agree that is how the services are paid, including the attorney. In this case my bet is on a 50-50 split. I wish you well.

With more than 41 years as a real estate broker, I can solve most any problem presented. If I can`t, I do my research. Problems with mortgages, trust deeds, foreclosures, odd ways of conveying titles. Most any good Realtor can answer questions satisfactorily, but I answer questions that most cannot.
