Buying or Selling a Home/Real state agent

Question
Hi Dick:

I'm trying to buy a house and I have a friend that says he is a real state agent. I'm not sure he is a registered real state agent (or sales associate) and I don't want to ask him for a credential or document to prove it.
Is there any real state web page that I can look for his name?

Thanks, John

Answer
Yes, JuanCarlos. Here in California you can go to http://www.dre.ca.gov/ (The Department of Real Estate) and you can verify who is a licensed agent. I suppose it is the same for whichever state you are in.

Try that idea.

I do wish you well.

With more than 41 years as a real estate broker, I can solve most any problem presented. If I can`t, I do my research. Problems with mortgages, trust deeds, foreclosures, odd ways of conveying titles. Most any good Realtor can answer questions satisfactorily, but I answer questions that most cannot.
