Question
Can you tell me if I can/should sell a home while it is still in the trust.  What are the benefits/drawbacks of this.  This was my late fathers home in Carson, California. He made a living trust before he passed away and I am the trustee.

Thank you,
Nickie

Answer
Dear Nickie,

Yes, you can sell a house that is in a trust.  As far as whether you should and what the tax consequences are I am not qualified to tell you.  That advice is best gotten by an accountant.

Hope this helps and good luck.
