Buying or Selling a Home/Selling house

Question
I have been trying to sell my home in Texas for almost 2 years. Is the market that stagnant? I have been in the final stages of closing and have had 2 buyers pull the plug. Is there any way to inhibit this? Do I get the earnest money ?  Can I ask my real estate company to switch my realtors if I am not happy with the one assigned to me?

Answer
I am not sure where your home is located in Texas, but our market has been great. Lots of buyers do back out and you should be able to keep the earnest money as long as it is according to the contract. You should be able to talk to the broker of record and ask for a different Realtor. Ask for one with a lot of expierence and has been in that market area for at least two years. Good luck. Remember, there is only two reasons a house won't sell. Price and location. You can change the price, but not the location.
