Question
Hi, I live in Calif, Not New York , But you were on the list so I am woundering if you know a answer to this question anyway? My husband and I bought a home 2 years ago and just recently found out he is still married to his last wife from 10 years ago. They both thought they were divirced. Anyway she want's nothing to do with our house, But my husband(LOL)and I have the title as husband and wife on our deed. Do we need to do anything legal with that? Sense we arn't really legally married, But will  be shortly? How is that for a funny question. Can you help? I am told to maybe get legal advice in it. Thanks for your time, Lisa

Answer
Hi Lisa,

Thanks for you questions.

Yes, I agree that you need legal help in this matter to correct the title to the way you all want it and you should do it before anyone changes their minds. So, call your attorney.
Somehow I would think the title company would have discovered this?

Good luck, Hans

There are many questions buyers and sellers have about the process of buying or selling a home that they are afraid to ask or that might seem too simple to ask. For instance: in a house, why do some doors open in and some doors open out?
