Buying or Selling a Home/buying new home

Question
Hello there my wife and I currently own a home but are wanting to update and buy a new home. Currently my income alone pays for the first house and all other bills. Would we be able to get a second home loan with my wifes income and buy the new house, and then try to sell  our old house?

Answer
There's no way for me to know the answer to that, Tyson. I do not know the price of house you want to buy, I do not know your income and obligations. I suggest you contact a bank, or mortgage broker and ask your questions.

If you both have excellent credit scores, you should have no trouble buying a second home while you're trying to sell the first one.

I do wish you well.

Expertise

With more than 41 years as a real estate broker, I can solve most any problem presented. If I can`t, I do my research. Problems with mortgages, trust deeds, foreclosures, odd ways of conveying titles. Most any good Realtor can answer questions satisfactorily, but I answer questions that most cannot. Also, ask about my hard-copy newsletter, The Landed Gentry. It can also be sent to you via PDF.
