Buying or Selling a Home/closing time

Question
I have a offer on my house how ever the buyer does not want to close until march 8. Is there a disadvantage for me 8 days in the month? Or should I have them close last day in feb.?

Answer
You might want to ask him, Richard. He might even tell you why he wants to close on that date. Maybe he has his house sold and it won't close until then and therefore he could not close with you until then. However, I recommend you ask something of him in exchange, like, his earnest money deposit becomes non-refundable upon acceptance. Or, increase the deposit to $5,000. That way, you'll know he is serious. I do wish you well.

With more than 41 years as a real estate broker, I can solve most any problem presented. If I can`t, I do my research. Problems with mortgages, trust deeds, foreclosures, odd ways of conveying titles. Most any good Realtor can answer questions satisfactorily, but I answer questions that most cannot.
