Question
I have a agent that I am working with and I asked to see a property
that is in my price range and she said that the said property had
been sold. I continued looking and the property was still listed, so I
contacted the listing agent and he said that the property was still
available is there any laws about giving me false information
because I am really interested in this property. The listing agent
said that he will show me the property. Thanks for any info that
youcan give me

Answer
Thanks for the good question.  You first need to establish if discrimination did indeed exist.  A properties 'status' can change quickly.  At the time you asked you're agent to see the property the home may have been under contract.  If you do some detective work and find out that no offers had been made on the home you possibly have a valid case.  If you decide you would like to pursue the matter further your state has a Department of Regulatory Agencies (DRA)which monitors agents.  You can formalize -usually in writing- a complaint to the DRA and they will launch a formal investigation to determine the circumstances and if your agents actions were in fact intentional.

Any local agent should be able to direct you to your local DRA or I'm sure you can find it by searching on the internet.  Thanks again for the question.  Good luck!
