Question
hi my name is ruben and im only 17. but i wanted to ask u about the business of real estate. i wanted to know about the income of it and if a lot of money is involved. thank u for ur time.

Answer
Hi Ruben,

Thank you for your question.

Real estate is a great profession, but it takes a lot of time and effort and it can be years untill you get established.  The longer you work at it the more you make from repeat business if you do things right.

You need to make a circle of contacts and keep farming them over the years.

Real estate agents are paid commission, so you only earn what to sell. The final commission paid to the agent is about 1-1.5% of the selling price.  Agents alos do rentals and the fee is usually one months rent.

If you get started young and stick at it you could do well some day.  Everyone needs a place to live.

There are many questions buyers and sellers have about the process of buying or selling a home that they are afraid to ask or that might seem too simple to ask. For instance: in a house, why do some doors open in and some doors open out?
