Question
I am buying a home but I cant let it be known that I legally own it, nor can my name be anywhere in it & my mother cant buy it in her name so Im trying to see if i quick claim it to her as soon as i buy it & act like im renting it for her. will that work? if not what other option do i have.

Answer
Ren'e,

As far a I am aware, if you are the legal owner it is going to show up in public records.  Once the property closes escrow you can certainly quit claim the property to whomever you want but if you are getting a loan it might create problems with the lender and, if they become aware, they could call the loan. Try posing this to an attorney on the site and see if they know of something but in California all sales and transfers become public records.

Hope this helps and good luck.
