Question
I am looking to purchase a cheap home as an investment opportunity. I would
like to either rent it and use it as a long term investment. Or fix it and flip it
as a short term investment. I am 25 years old wit ha steady job and about
40k to put down. I live in the ny area and would like something in the ny/pa
area. Do you know any area where the housing is cheap and affordable and is
likely to rise within the next couple of years. Is syracuse ny anything to look
into?

I know that York City in York, PA is a great place for what you are looking for.
It has everything you are looking for.  Cheap and fix uppers.
With MD near the PA boarder, housing has and will keep going up in price.
